Why do I need to register an account on here?

In order to post your messages on the Community Board, or be part of the yearly awards you need to have an account here. Computers are not as smart as people so they need a way to understand it is you doing something on the system and an account is the easiest way a computer has to understand it is you and not someone else doing things on the system.
